Terms of service

The rules for using Byteable, in plain language.

These terms cover joinbyteable.com, the Planner Agent, a free starter account and the member area, all run by Byteable AI Inc. (“Byteable,” “we”). We wrote them to be read. If something here is unclear, ask us before you rely on it.

The agreement

By using this site, creating an account or using the member area, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you are using Byteable for a business, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms on its behalf. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

If we sign a separate written agreement with you, such as a membership agreement or a statement of work, that agreement wins where it conflicts with this page.

The site and the Planner Agent

You may browse the site and try the Planner Agent for free. The Planner Agent is an AI. It reads what you type, checks it against our Workshop of pre-scoped systems, and writes a bid or a roadmap. It can be wrong, and it does not replace a conversation with a person. Please do not put sensitive information in it, such as health details, financial account numbers or government ID numbers.

Anything the Planner Agent shows you is a proposal for you to consider. It is not an offer that binds us, and it is not advice about your legal, tax, financial or regulatory position.

Your free starter account

When you create an account from the Planner Agent, we give it 100 Bytes, free. No payment is taken and none is needed to use them. Bytes are what we spend building your systems.

  • They expire after 30 days. Unused starter Bytes do not carry over and cannot be extended, refunded or exchanged. The member area shows the date.
  • They have no cash value. They cannot be sold, transferred to another person or business, or paid out.
  • One starter account per business. We may close duplicates, and we may change or end the free offer for new accounts at any time. We will not shorten the 30 days on an account that already has them.
  • When they run out or expire, your account stays open and your queue stays visible. To get more Bytes, join the membership. You can book a call to do that from your dashboard.

Your queue and custom systems

Your queue is the list of systems you want built, in the order you want them. You can add, reorder and remove systems that have not started. Once work on a system starts, we manage its status and dates.

When you describe something that is not in the Workshop, the Planner Agent can save it to your queue as a custom system. A custom system is sent to our team for finalization. Until a person on the team has scoped it, it has no price in Bytes and no dollar value, and we have not agreed to build it. We may change the scope, price, timeline or value when we finalize it, or tell you we cannot build it. Starting work on it is a separate step that we confirm with you.

We may email you about your queue and work, and we email a sign-in link instead of using passwords. Anyone who can open your email can open the link, so keep your mailbox secure.

Estimates are not promises

The dollar figures in the member area and on the Planner page are estimates. They come from published figures for a representative business in an industry, not from your business, and the revenue shown as “earned so far” is modelled from when a system went live, not measured. Timelines depend on your queue order and your Bytes. They are projections, not forecasts, and we do not promise any result unless a signed agreement says so in writing.

Assessments

The Assessment tab asks about your business so we can prepare an assessment for you. For now a person on our team builds it by hand and publishes it on your Assessment tab. It is our opinion, based on what you told us and on published reference figures, and it is only as accurate as your answers. It is not a guarantee of savings or revenue.

Membership

The membership is a paid plan with monthly Bytes. The plans, what each includes and what they cost are on our membership page, which we keep current. As that page says, there is no contract, you can cancel any time, and the first month carries a 30-day money-back guarantee. Billing details and anything else we agree are set out when you join.

What is yours, and what is ours

Your content. What you type, upload or tell us stays yours. You give us permission to use it to run the service for you: to answer you, write your roadmap, scope and build your systems, and tell our team about it. We do not use your content to advertise to other people.

The systems we build for you. As the membership page says, you hold a perpetual licence to every system we deploy for you, to run in your own accounts with your own data. Cancelling stops the work, not the software.

What we keep. Byteable owns the underlying intellectual property and the shared tooling we use across members, including the Workshop, the Planner Agent, the site and its design, and our assessments’ methods. These terms give you no ownership of them.

Using the service

Please do not:

  • use the service to break the law, or to send spam, malware or anything that harms others;
  • try to get into accounts, systems or data that are not yours, or probe or overload the site;
  • scrape the site, or use the Planner Agent to build a competing product or to extract our prompts or models;
  • create accounts with false details, or create several to collect more starter Bytes;
  • claim to be someone you are not, including a member of our team.

We may suspend or close an account that does, and we will tell you why where we can.

Warranties and liability

The site, the Planner Agent and the free starter account are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do our best, but we do not promise they will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, and AI output may be wrong or incomplete. Check anything important before you act on it.

To the extent the law allows, Byteable is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. For a free account, our total liability to you is limited to $100. For a paid membership, it is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, and where that is so they apply as far as the law permits. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending and changes

You can stop using the service, and ask us to close your account, at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or end the free service, or an account that breaks these terms, with notice where practical. The parts of these terms that by their nature should continue, such as ownership, the limits on liability and the law that applies, continue after an account closes.

We may update these terms as the product changes. We will change the date at the top and, for changes that matter, tell account holders by email. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept it.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Byteable AI Inc. is incorporated, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute comes up, please email us first. Most things can be fixed with a conversation.

Questions about these terms: email hello@byteable.ai. Byteable AI Inc. is the company you are agreeing with.
